Sunflower schrot is a feed additive containing 35% protein. It is included in feed for farm animals and all types of birds. Sunflower schrot is obtained after extracting fat from oilseeds using organic solvents and complies with DSTU 4638:2006.
For feeding animals, birds, and fish, sunflower schrot is utilized both in its pure form and as an additive in mixed fodder. It contains up to 43% easily digestible protein, contributing to increased animal productivity and improved quality of livestock products. Additionally, sunflower schrot enhances the fat content in milk and the daily milk yield of cows. Unlike other meals, sunflower schrot contains fewer anti-nutrients. With an arabinoxylan index of 117 compared to soybean meal, sunflower schrot ensures high protein digestibility (78-80%) relative to other plant-based protein feeds.
